GC33 Contraception (1990C557)

Having heard Petition 39 [re: placing abortion in the Criminal Code], it is moved that

  1. The Frankford/Batawa Pastoral Charge be encouraged to continue studying the issues and to forward the results of their study to Belleville Presbytery;

  2. The United Church of Canada continue to emphasize mutual responsibility for contraception; and

  3. The United Church of Canada actively promote access to conception control education and facilities across Canada, and encourage the government to provide these at reasonable cost as necessary.
