GC41 Paying Attention to the Global Ocean – Reporting to the 41st General Council, August 2012 (GC41 2012 – 089)
That the 41st General Council 2012:
recommend to the General Secretary, General Council for implementation or study the following:
take actions over the next 3 years to focus on the global ocean, in the lead-up to a possible focus on the global ocean at GC42 in Newfoundland;
take actions to encourage appreciation of our interconnectedness with the global ocean, and to foster healing of the global ocean,;
engagement in activities to impact regional, national & international agendas regarding the global ocean;

Resolution of the NEW05 Indigenous Sovereignty Proposal
On Nov. 8, members of the Executive of the General Council had a special meeting to discuss recommendations about NEW05 Indigenous Sovereignty Proposal. They affirmed the recall of the National Indigenous Spiritual Gathering (NISG) to determine the future of the Indigenous Church.
