GC45 First Executive meeting coming up February 20–21 Posted February 12, 2026 Image The 45th General Council Executive (GCE) meets online on February 20 and 21. Using the lenses of Deep Spirituality, Bold Discipleship, and Daring Justice, the Executive members will work generatively together, and reflect through the communal experience of worship.The items in the consent agenda include recommendations for new appointments to the Partner Council for 2025–28. A number of reports are also in the consent agenda, including the General Secretary’s and the Foundation’s accountability reports. The 4th quarter operational plan report will also be available. The Executive is looking forward to the report of the pilgrims on their pilgrimages of learning.A summary of the outcomes of this meeting will be available on this website no later than February 24.The post-GCE meeting Cross-Country Check-in will be February 25, from 6–7:30 pm ET. This check-in is where people in the United Church across the country can have a conversation with members of the Executive in real time. The two days focused on setting the triennium up for transformative change, with dialogue around the triennium operating budget, the strategic direction and objectives, and affirming the commitment to anti-racism.
