GC26 Anicinabe Park Occupation (1974A561)

WHEREAS the native peoples occupying the Anicinabe Park, at Kenora, Ontario, have of their own volition given up their arms and turned from the path of violence to a path of open negotiation; and

WHEREAS it is incumbent upon the authorities to respond in good faith and Christian justice; and

WHEREAS this Twenty-sixth General Council seeks these essential elements between all parties:

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that this Council instruct its secretary to send a telegram communication with expediency, expressing our deep concern in this situation.
