Dear General Council Commissioners, guests, and corresponding members:

Thank you to those who were able to join the learning sessions on the principle-based approach to justice work in the United Church. For any who were unable to attend, the recordings have been added in CHURCHx and can be found here.

Having now had experience with the principle-based approach, Commissioners are encouraged to practice applying it to the work before the council in preparation for our time together.

We look forward to gathering as the General Council on Saturday, October 19th.  Please log on to the call early, between 10:30 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. ET, through CHURCHx here.

The meeting will convene promptly at 11 a.m. ET with opening worship with communion. Please have the elements ready so you can participate fully.

Both our Holy Manners and our Equity Aspirations are also in CHURCHx, a reminder of our commitment to inclusivity and respect as key elements of healthy discussion and debate.

The agenda for the meeting can be found here.

In order to make sure we have quorum for the meeting, please RSVP to the meeting, whether or not you intend on attending.

Thank you for your continuing service as a Commissioner. The gift of your time and your wisdom is deeply appreciated.
