Toward 2035

From April 8–10,125 members of General Council and Regional Council staff teams will come together in Toronto to do intensive planning in the collaborative work that will be done to support communities of faith in line with Toward 2035.

This season in the life of the church invites careful listening, deep reflection, and shared understanding. This time together will support staff as they align their work more closely with one another and with the needs and hopes being voiced by communities of faith. This gathering is about nurturing shared purpose, strengthening relationships, and discerning how the church’s resources and energies can be focused on the greatest good in the years ahead.

The General Secretary, Moderator, and Regional Council Executive Ministers will be among those offering leadership for this event.

We invite the church to pray for this time. Please hold those who are gathering to listen and discern the Spirit’s guidance in prayer. Event participants work closely with communities of faith and are bringing what they are hearing about the needs of this moment as we look Toward 2035
