GC45 WF13: Proposals on Israel and Palestine HF01, SW02, SW03, SW05 for Summer 2025

There was overwhelming support from the discussion groups in favour of these proposals. There were also many calls to combine these proposals together as one.  

The recommendations within these proposals are in alignment with the Principles for Justice Work and The United Church of Canada has already acted on the recommendations. Communities of faith and individuals throughout The United Church of Canada are encouraged to continue to take these actions and faithfully live out our Principles for Justice Work. 

Therefore, the Way Forward Team proposes: 

That, in response to proposals on Israel and Palestine HF01, SW02, SW03, SW05, the 45th General Council, 2025: 

• affirm the recommendations in HF01, SW02, SW03, and SW05, and  

• recognize that many pieces of work are underway or have taken place, and 

• direct the General Secretary to apply the Principles for Justice Work in taking actions outlined in these proposals
