GC33 Literacy (1990L326)

The 33rd General Council:

  1. urges United Churches across Canada to initiate volunteer literacy programs and/or support literacy programs already established;

  2. urges United Church members to be sensitive to this serious social situation; and

  3. urges church courts, designers of worship and curriculum resources, and worship leaders to be sensitive to the diversity of literacy levels within their constituencies.
