GC45 WF31: HF03 Remit and Proposal Integrity Policy for Summer 2025

All but one of the discussion groups were opposed to this proposal and one group did not discuss this proposal. Most discussion groups expressed concerns, including tying up our process with the use of multiple remits, lack of room for discernment, cost, lack of engagement from local communities of faith.

Some discussion groups expressed the value of honouring our corporate history but not letting that hold us back or limit the church’s ability to have flexibility to change, progress, and evolve.

Therefore, the Way Forward Team proposes:

That, in response to HF03 Remit and Proposal integrity Policy, the 45th General Council, 2025, take no further action on HF03 Remit and Proposal integrity Policy
