GC45 GC45 WF22: PM03 Arms Embargo Now Signatory for Summer 2025 Of the groups who discussed PM03 all were in favour of the United Church of Canada becoming a signatory for the Arms Embargo Now call. Upon further consultation with staff, it was discovered that the United Church of Canada became a signatory to the Arms Embargo Now call in August of 2024. Therefore, the Way Forward Team proposes: That, in response to PM03 Arms Embargo Now Signatory, the 45th General Council, 2025, Take no further action on PM03 Arms Embargo Now Signatory for Summer 2025encourage all individuals in The United Church of Canada to write to their elected officials for Canada to enact a two-way arms embargo that is comprehensive and binding.
